The New Politics of Sinophone Asia by Charles Horner and Eric Brown (Hudson Institute)

This excellent article, by Charles Horner and Eric Brown of the Hudson Institute, was forwarded by Professor Victor H. Mair, general editor of the Cambria Sinophone World Series.

They write, “At critical times in modern China’s history, the Sinophone periphery has intervened dramatically and exercised an influence well beyond what customary analyses would have predicted. This alone suggests that the balance of power in Sinophone Asia is on the verge of another great shift. Will the experience of those on the Chinese periphery once again intervene with a model to transform China?” A highly relevant question for these interesting times, indeed.
