Asian studies scholars at the AAS 2015 conference, come meet Victor Mair (University of Pennsylvania), general editor of the Cambria Sinophone World Series; Dorothy Wong and Gustav Heldt (University of Virginia), editors of the volume; and Tansen Sen (Baruch College), who is on the editorial board and a contributor; at the Cambria Press booth (601) in the AAS exhibit hall on Saturday (March 28) at 2 p.m.

Learn more about their new book China and Beyond in the Mediaeval Period: Cultural Crossings and Inter-Regional Connections, which has been described by Ryuichi Abe (Harvard University) as “the future of Asian Studies” and “a must for anyone who aims at introducing innovations into area studies across diverse academic disciplines.”

An oversized print with 157 images (many in color; see examples below), the book sheds light on the crossing of boundaries of geographic, cultural, linguistic, and sometimes temporal distance.

Learn more about the Cambria Sinophone World Series and the other outstanding titles it has produced. Watch Dr. Mair discuss the series.
